New Live Streaming Feature

If you actually visit my blog (http://www.coreydegrandchamp.com) you’ll notice the top left corner has changed a bit, I’ve switched from using Stickam as a streaming agent to uStream.tv

uStream.tv is a much better service, with less hick-ups, freezes, downtime, and is based much more around a “techie” community than a “MySpace for webcams” type site that Stickam was.

In the following days I’ll be setting up new cameras around my study, right now I’ve only had available one cam to me, which was built into my MacBook, so my live time has been very limited. By next week I should have two separate cameras positioned in my office and I’ll be able to switch between the two on the fly in the uStream.tv interface. It’s exciting for a geek like myself.

My live time is going to increase dramatically in the next few days when my new cameras arrive in the mail, so be sure to visit my actual blog and check it out! You can also click the menu in the lower right corner of the stream, and go to my uStream.tv profile, and join a live chat with me even, and you don’t even need to register for anything! I don’t anticipate many people to use that portion of the service, but if you do it’d be nice.

PS. I’ve decided to start doing reviews on AppStore applications, so look forward to some of those coming soon!

HDTV Woes

So I woke up today to a TV with three blinking lights, checking the users manual says its a “lamp error” meaning I have to dish out about $200+ dollars on one, and then attempt a repair myself… Trying to pay for college and car payments, insurance bills, and phone bills isn’t fun to begin with, but throwing this into the mix really stinks.

Dead HDTV

To top some things off though, my HD-DVR DirecTV box is fried as well, or at least not functioning right, and its REALLY hard to troubleshoot one, without the other working properly.

Other than these things, life is great, work and school are getting stressful though.

WordPress iPhone Application

Well, I don’t know when it happened… but I guess there is a FANTASTIC wordpress app out for iPhone, and supports real time photo taking and uploading! This is just a test post. And testing photo taking on the spot of blog writing.

EDIT: Well, even though it’s not being posted from my wordpress dashboard, it’s fully working with the default settings of my LJ-XP plugin!!! Amazing!
