Can I stream on Tech Jawa TV?

You sure can, we’re always looking for new members of our team. We have some requirements in place for candidates, but we’re fairly loose on them right now. Please fill out an application for consideration.

How do you stream PC games? (Beginner)

About
The fastest and easiest way to stream PC games is detailed below. It eliminates the need to run various third party programs and it tries to keep things simple. It can also stream audio even if you don’t have a “Stereo Mix” option on your sound card. There IS drawbacks to this method, such as the software being somewhat processor intensive, and it not working with older games.

What You Need
You will need a piece of software called Procaster. It will greatly reduce the amount of hassle you will have to go through to stream PC games, as it has a “game” setting.

Setup
Once you download and install Procaster, you should be able to set it to game mode, open a game that supports DirectX or OpenGL and in the upper left corner (default) you will see Procaster telling you to press Ctrl+F1 to start streaming. It should start streaming the game, as well as the game’s audio without much hassle at all. Please note however, that this does not work with a lot of older games from the 90′s and early 2000′s.

How do you stream PC games? (Advanced)

About
This is the advanced PC streaming method, this method SHOULD allow you to stream most older PC games, as well as pick a custom aspect ratio, but does require quite a bit more setup in the beginning. If you are new to streaming, you may want to stick with our beginner method detailed above, as this method does not offer many advantages.

What You Need
This time you will need two pieces of software: Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder and VH Screen Capture Driver. You may also need Virtual Audio Cable if you want to add voice (recommended) over your stream via a microphone, or a hardware audio mixer.

How do you stream emulated games?

Streaming emulated games shouldn’t be too difficult, you should be able to use Procaster to stream your “screen” and just open the emulator in full-screen mode at your native resolution. Please follow our beginner PC streaming guide above for that. However, if you play in a windowed mode, you may have to use our advanced PC streaming guide to custom select your aspect ratio/window region, as zooming in/out with Procaster currently is a chore at best.

How do you stream console games? (Standard Definition)

About
Streaming console games in SD can be a cheap and easy process if you’ve got somebody to guide you along.

What You Need
You will need an EasyCAP DC60+

Setup
We are currently unfamiliar with how to set up this product, however there are tons of other hand-written tutorials online that should fill you on. I believe you have to run audio to your Line In jack on your sound card, and run just the video to the EasyCAP for streaming.

How do you stream console games? (High Definition)

About
Streaming console games in HD can be VERY expensive, but produces amazing results if you know what you are doing. This is the method that the founders of Tech Jawa TV use, so we can provide the most help with this method as well.

What You Need
The list goes on and on with this one… Obviously some components can be switched out for others where you see fit. We’re going to assume if you’re trying to stream HD consoles, you’re an advanced user, and know at least something about HD signaling and audio, as well as cabling. As far as hardware goes, follow the individual setups from below.
